![]() The SmartType menu will come up when you start a new Scene Heading or insert a Character or Transition. The highlighted icon will indicate which type of paragraph it is if it needs to be changed, touch the correct icon. When you are finished with a paragraph, touch Return to move the cursor to a new blank line below. In this example, the "h" in "Some action h" brings up the iOS predictive typing menu, so touch "here" below to complete the word: Begin typing (note that the first letter of the sentence will be capitalized automatically). The cursor is now in a blank Action paragraph. Touch the desired time (in this example, DAY) and then touch Return: Touch the Tab key to move to the next section of the Scene Heading, the time of day. Note that the location will be in all uppercase automatically: Touch the Tab key to move to the next section of the Scene Heading and type the location (in this example, OFFICE). The letter I has been typed, bringing the Scene Heading menu with the "I" intros listed (INT., I/E). Notice that the first line of a blank screenplay defaults to a Scene Heading paragraph.
